You might have seen us around town!

The Grand Rapids Red Project is a 501c3 organization working to prevent transmission of HIV and hepatitis C, and prevent fatal overdose. One of the main ways we work to prevent overdose is providing free access to the lifesaving medication, naloxone.

At the Red Project, we view naloxone not only as a lifesaving medication, but also a symbol of love, support, equity, connection, empathy, and hope. The more people who carry naloxone and know how to use it, the more we fight back against the opioid epidemic, and the racialized impact of drug law and policy on our neighbors and friends.
